We File and Retrieve:

• Initial Filings – Petitions, small claims filings, or other originating documents
• Pro Se Filings – Self-represented litigants who don’t use EDMS and want help filing in person
• Counties Without Full E-Filing – Some probate, guardianship, or juvenile filings still require paper filings in certain counties
• Rush / Emergency Filings – wanting to skip eFiling delays (especially for TROs, emergency guardianship, or last-minute filings)

Our Process:

1. Call, text, or email with the time and date you’d like the documents filed/retrieved as well as what the documents are.
2. Present a valid, government-issued photo ID.
3. We will contact the clerk of court for the appropriate county and arrange a time to come in.
4. We will travel to the appropriate county courthouse and file/retrieve your filings.
5. You receive your documents or a confirmation that they have been filed immediately.

Pricing:

– Standard Document Retrieval/Filing (central Iowa counties) – $45
– Standard Document Retrieval/Filing (outside of central Iowa) – $55
– $15 surcharge for certified documents (Documents that require the Clerk’s official stamp on the last page).
